Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team at a large SEND school in Peterlee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in a variety of settings, including classrooms and activities
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning and delivery
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for students
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

  • DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
