Position Overview: As a Capital Projects Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering initiatives within our organization. This position is integral to ensuring that our facilities, equipment, and services meet the high standards required for food production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage as a member of the Central Engineering Team to drive customer satisfaction, uphold health and safety standards, and ensure compliance with technical regulations.
- Lead the execution of capital projects in a food manufacturing setting, managing the entire process from initial concept through to final handover.
- Utilize Intersnack Work Systems and the Initiative Management Pillar to deliver projects effectively.
- Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement a structured project management framework that encompasses all phases, including planning, execution, and post-project evaluations.
- Manage construction and civil engineering projects, including new builds and extensions, with budgets ranging from £100k to £30 million.
- Coordinate internal fit-outs and facility requirements across multiple sites, ensuring legal compliance and appropriate contract management.
- Promote a culture of health and safety, ensuring that all engineering staff adhere to company policies and safe working practices.
- Conduct necessary testing of equipment and machinery to comply with statutory regulations.
- Ensure that contractors and staff follow established safety protocols and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with HR to enforce company policies regarding employee conduct and performance.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments to achieve common goals.
- Maintain clear communication with factory management regarding contractor activities and project updates.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within your area of responsibility.
- Identify and address hazards and unsafe practices promptly.
- Conduct safety management processes, including accident investigations and risk assessments.
- Provide guidance and support to various departments on safety matters.
