Main Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation and Sourcing: Negotiate and source strategically to achieve cost reductions against set targets, collaborating with the buyer to ensure competitive purchasing and maximize value from existing suppliers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Run, create, and analyze various daily and monthly reports, actively participating in meetings and keeping everyone informed.
  • Returned Items Management: Efficiently manage the process for returned items, ensuring seamless transactions and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to other Supply Chain functions during peak periods, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high levels of productivity.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working within a similar role, including great administration skills, experience working in a procurement team with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive Attitude: A positive 'can do' attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to take ownership of situations.
  • Education: GCSE Grade A-C including Maths and English, 'O' level standard or NVQ level 2/3.
  • Qualifications: Working towards CIPS or equivalent qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Full understanding of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, and Word, and experience in negotiating supplier contracts to gain cost reduction.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
