About the Role

The Housing Management Officer will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing services to private sector residents in Fife. This will involve working closely with local communities, partners, and stakeholders to provide information, advice, and support on housing-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and arranging repairs and maintenance in mixed tenure blocks for communal areas.
  • Consulting with owners on works and ensuring high-quality private sector housing services.
  • Carrying out annual block surveys to determine repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Reacting to emergency and routine repairs when reported.
  • Working with partner services to raise accurate works orders and maximise first-time fix rates.
  • Providing excellent customer care and advice to private owners, landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • SCQF level 5 qualification or equivalent in Housing or a related field.
  • Ability to deliver housing services through field-based working across Fife.
  • Experience of assessing and appraising complex information, problems, or situations.
  • Negotiation and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of housing policy and practices, housing advice, and housing standards.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
