Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be required to have previous general practice experience and hold an independent prescribing qualification. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support to general practice staff and assisting with the repeat prescriptions system
- Dealing with acute prescription requests and medicines reconciliation
- Providing clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement, and managing aspects of the quality and outcomes framework and enhanced services
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An undergraduate degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- An independent prescribing qualification
- Previous general practice experience and knowledge of legal, ethical, professional, and organisational policies/procedures relevant to the role
- Strong clinical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to apply effective clinical judgement in prioritisation and decision-making
