Job Summary:

Alexander Steele Recruitment is supporting a leading food manufacturing business in the Northwestern area of Greater Manchester as they seek an Electrical Biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute hands-on planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
  • Ensure assets are ready to produce products of excellent quality, dispatched on time and in full to customers.
  • Implement a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work for all activities, properly risk assessed.
  • Coach, train, and educate production colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge and performance.
  • Act with integrity to build a culture of professional engineering and proactive equipment-focused continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technical hands-on engineering experience, preferably through a recognized time-served apprenticeship within food manufacturing.
  • Technical qualifications and competence in BTEC Engineering certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, and PLC/Inverter Assets.
  • Experience of risk assessing maintenance activity and controlling safe working regulations.
