About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team at Aspris College North Wales. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with Autistic Spectrum Condition and associated conditions in a specialist further education college setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist learners with their work and support with pupil behavior in a classroom setting.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to establish good relationships with learners and respond to individual needs.
  • Support learners with emotional and behavioral difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with learners, staff, and parents to ensure important information is relayed.
  • Develop and maintain strong organizational skills to support educational activities.
  • Provide a supportive and caring environment for learners to thrive.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting.
  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) relevant to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults.
  • Strong communication, resilience, organization, and caring skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations.

About Aspris

Aspris College North Wales is a specialist further education college for learners aged 16-25 with Autistic Spectrum Condition and associated conditions. We work in partnership with Coleg Cambria to deliver mainstream education with tailored support in education, independence, and communication skills.
