Position:
Electrical Maintenance Technician

CBRE Local UK is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician Trainee to become part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly, adhering to established service level agreements.
  • Possess technical knowledge of operations in computer rooms, call centers, and trading environments, with experience in power distribution, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and cooling systems.
  • Conduct testing and diagnosis of power quality issues, including harmonic distortion, utilizing onsite power analysis tools.
  • Implement a risk-focused maintenance strategy for plant and systems in critical environments.
  • Provide emergency response support and be available for call-outs as necessary.
  • Escalate urgent matters to the Technical Services Manager as required.
  • Maintain and update all critical engineering maintenance documentation and records.
  • Inform the Facilities Management Team of any changes in critical environment specifications.
  • Conduct site assessments and generate Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for scheduled tasks.
  • Ensure the completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests.
  • Adhere to financial processes consistently.
  • Review actions with the Technical Services Manager, ensuring all tasks are documented and completed.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations is desirable.
  • Experience with building management systems, including troubleshooting and operational use.
  • Knowledge of Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, Fan Coil Units (FCU), and chilled water circuits.
  • Understanding of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Awareness of COSHH, Working at Heights, and Risk Assessment protocols.
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in testing and inspecting electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of emergency response protocols and standby activities.
  • Understanding of utility monitoring and environmental programs.
  • Familiarity with water hygiene standards (L8).
