Job Summary
We are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to manage our hospitality and retail areas. As a hospitality and retail manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the delivery of award-winning service to our guests on race days and other events.
- Assist with the training and development of your team, developing skills and maximizing performance through coaching and mentoring.
- Ensure guests receive the highest standard of customer service at all times.
- Maintain stock levels and rotation behind bars and storage areas to avoid waste and assist with stocktaking.
- Ensure the bar area is adequately stocked with glassware, ice, and lemons, and other appropriate sundries in line with predetermined stock levels and business needs.
- Adhere to and follow all licensing policies and procedures.
- Show commercial awareness to drive the business forward and maximize sales opportunities.
- Take prompt action to resolve complaints according to company policy.
- Assist in the resolution of performance problems as necessary and in line with company policy.
- Have clear working knowledge of all company policies and operate within them at all times.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer care skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for quality standards and service.
- Experience in operating tills and PDQ machines.
- Management experience in a high-end food and drinks business or restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene, and health and safety theory and implementation.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to maximize sales opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Team player qualities.
