We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at Newcastle University. The successful candidate will be part of the UKRI-funded SYMPHONY project, led by Dr Dominic Bowman, and will contribute to the development of asteroseismic modelling of massive stars.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research along the lines of the programme of the funded project
- Work successfully in an interdisciplinary research team to publish world-leading research
- Present outputs of the research to scientific and non-scientific audiences
- Contribute to the positive culture and general strengths of the research group
- PhD awarded in a relevant discipline
- Excellent technical skills in analysing and interpreting data sets
- A track record of high-quality research outputs related to the goals of the project
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to develop research proposals in collaboration with other academics
- Experience in creating and/or delivering activities designed to make science more accessible and inclusive
