Renewable Gases Europe is the division within ENGIE dedicated to advancing the production of renewable and low-carbon gases across Europe. Since 2015, we have been at the forefront of biomethane production initiatives. We are currently in search of a seasoned Project Coordinator to oversee the management, execution, and delivery of our projects in the UK, ensuring alignment with ENGIE's standards, particularly concerning Time, Quality, and Cost from inception to completion.
Role Objective
Once a project is recognized and the budget is sanctioned, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for all facets of the project, from initial design through to engaging external consultants and navigating the tendering process until contract finalization. The role encompasses overseeing the project from construction through to the operational phase of the site.
The Project Coordinator will offer leadership and direction to the team throughout the project lifecycle and serve as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Essential responsibilities will include regular updates on project status, encompassing budget tracking, timeline management, contractual matters, consultant engagement, interaction with regulatory bodies, and health and safety oversight.
The Project Coordinator may be tasked with managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring that comprehensive reviews—including financial, risk, and contract assessments—are conducted as necessary, and escalating issues to the Senior Management Team when required.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, capable of fostering win-win outcomes.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and action management skills.
- A strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards, quality control, cost management, and scheduling, with the capability to balance these effectively.
- Proficient in building positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Skilled in utilizing IT tools such as MS Excel, MS Project, PowerBi, and BIM/PML/ERP.
- A university degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing industrial projects, particularly in bioenergy, energy, chemicals, or water/waste treatment within an ECP organization, preferably on an international scale.
- A solid understanding of engineering and construction methodologies, ideally with hands-on construction site experience.
