Position Overview: We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance our dynamic mechanical design team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of machine design, including both conceptual and detailed engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant machinery regulations.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Facilitate and participate in regular interdisciplinary design evaluations.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Create comprehensive 'Design, Operation, and Maintenance' documentation.
  • Provide assistance to the Mechanical Assembly department, particularly during the commissioning of tooling.
  • Proficient in using 2D AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent), and Autodesk Vault for Inventor (or equivalent).
  • Experience with Nastran Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Design pneumatic systems.
  • Accurately size components to meet design specifications.
  • Calculate machine drive requirements for motors, gearboxes, and belt and pulley systems.
