TPF Recruitment is representing a reputable multi-office chartered accountancy firm seeking a knowledgeable Senior Tax Consultant to enhance their team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in tax management, looking to contribute to a dynamic and growing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 260 tax clients, including individuals, sole proprietors, partners, and corporate directors.
- Engage with clients proactively, understanding their needs and proposing effective solutions.
- Handle correspondence, reminders, and ensure timely compliance with tax obligations.
- Prepare and file personal and partnership tax returns, including necessary computations.
- Compile P11Ds and manage Tax Credits, Rental Accounts, and Income and Expenditure Accounts.
- Conduct tax planning and prepare Capital Gains Tax (CGT) returns.
- Calculate Work In Progress (WIP) provisions for internal reporting and billing purposes.
- Develop and apply technical knowledge in accounting and tax regulations to serve a varied client base.
- Support Directors and team members with ad hoc tax inquiries.
- Assist with new client inquiries and conduct technical tax research.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience within an accountancy practice.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software such as Iris, Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
