Radiographer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Radiographer to join our team at University Hospital Wishaw. As a Specialist Radiographer, you will be responsible for justifying, authorizing, and performing radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high-quality diagnostic imaging service to patients referred from clinicians and other referrers in NHS Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of radiographers and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiography and medical imaging technology.
- Provide training and education to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC registration.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Postgraduate expertise in a relevant area of practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards in radiography.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with radiography.
- Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery.
