Job Description

PQ Engineer - Interior Trim Specialist

This role will be part of the Perceived Quality (PQ) function and will provide support to the Lead Engineer.

The role will primarily cover Interior Trim Perceived Quality, in support of projects in the design stages of the program.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Lead Engineer in the development and implementation of PQ strategies and processes.
  • Review and validate system integration for Interior themes, ensuring alignment with company standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain PQ techniques and processes for Interior Trim, including the creation and manipulation of geometry for Gap & Rad Planning PQ Requirements.
  • Support mentorship and knowledge transfer to PQ methods and processes, ensuring seamless integration with engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with the PQ Team overseas to develop and implement global standards, processes, and guidelines.
  • Assist with the Benchmarking of competitor vehicles and reporting findings, providing valuable insights for product development.
  • Support Optical Quality and Perceived Quality development and assessment activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • CAD operation skills, with the ability to create and manipulate geometry for primary communication of Gap & Rad Planning PQ Requirements.
  • Catia V5 operative skills, with expertise in 2D data and sectional data, including Part Design and Geometric Surface Design.
  • TCUA (Team Centre) PLM utilisation is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address PQ-related concerns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Working Arrangements:

  • Will report to the Head of team (PQ Lead Engineer will manage daily activities).
  • Will work closely with the PQ Team overseas to develop and implement global standards, processes, and guidelines.
