We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Darwin Escapes. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring seamless food preparation and service.
  • Oversee portion control, waste management, and food preparation procedures to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Be responsible for stock rotation and ordering to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure that all menus and specials boards are accurately priced and displayed at all times.
  • Adhere to food hygiene regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen environment is preferred.
  • A Level 3 Food Safety qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • A driving license and ability to drive are advantageous for easy travel to and from the resort.
