About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our fast-paced Catering team at Taunton School. The successful candidate will assist with the cleaning and operation of the kitchen, ensuring that all of the school's hygiene and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach and be willing to take on new responsibilities as necessary to meet the changing needs of the school. They will also demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and assist with unloading and storing heavy food deliveries at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the cleaning and operation of the kitchen
  • Ensure all hygiene and safety standards are met
  • Unload and store heavy food deliveries
  • Assist with other tasks as necessary
Requirements

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in a catering position is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team and have excellent communication skills. They will also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
