About the Role:
Mercer is seeking a talented and ambitious pensions consultant to join our expanding Risk Transfer team in Manchester. As a Senior Risk Transfer Consultant, you will provide clients with expert advice on the journey to buy-in, broking the market, and winding up schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage a portfolio of clients to help them achieve their buyout and winding-up objectives.
- Develop and prepare project plans, including input into setting budgets.
- Support the development of more junior colleagues.
- Work on a wide range of clients at various stages of the buy-in journey, including post-transaction buyout and wind-up phases.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of day-to-day and strategic consulting advice.
Requirements:
- A background in risk transfer, bulk annuity broking, and pension scheme wind-ups is preferable.
- An understanding of the journey to buyout for pensions schemes, including key considerations.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills, with a proven track record of client exposure.
- A strong sense of team working.
- A willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable in a changing environment.
- Proven ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
