Sheridan Maine South is pleased to announce an opportunity for a meticulous and committed Finance Assistant within a reputable charity organization. This part-time position (22.5 hours per week) will encompass a variety of responsibilities, primarily centered around managing the Sales Ledger for multiple group entities, including the pursuit of outstanding debts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and issue invoices.
  • Establish new customer accounts in the system and complete supplier documentation.
  • Conduct various reconciliations.
  • Actively pursue outstanding debts while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely payments.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from both internal and external parties.
  • Process refund requests for customer overpayments promptly.
  • Set up credit agreements for customers.
  • Support the finance team with diverse tasks as necessary, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to assist.
Qualifications Required:
  • Prior experience in a similar financial role, particularly in sales ledger or credit control.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attitude: A proactive, positive mindset with a readiness to learn and adapt.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
