Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is a key role within STERIS, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
  • Train and develop a high-performing team to achieve lean culture goals and company vision.
  • Lead by example, creating a positive working environment that fosters continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance.
  • Ensure proper adherence to quality system procedures, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Facilitate a safety culture and perform safety audits to ensure proper use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
  • Investigate and report near misses or incidents, ensuring the site remains safe at all times.
  • Train individuals and the team to a high standard, ensuring competency is achieved and maintained.
  • Provide growth opportunities through talent development, effective coaching, and setting meaningful goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement of 5S on site using lean principles and STERIS standards.
  • Promote and support site initiatives across departments through a proactive approach.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience implementing operational processes.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team leadership with good interpersonal skills.
  • Qualification in management (ILM 3 or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of project management.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
