Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, including an in-depth CIPD Advanced Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Chartered Membership of CIPD or evidence of ongoing professional development.

Essential Experience

  • Knowledge of employment law and its practical application.
  • Familiarity with the NHS People Plan and its implementation.
  • Experience in workforce planning.
  • Background in operational HR roles or business partnering within an NHS context.
  • Proficiency in managing employee relations cases, including complex absence management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and organizational changes.
  • Experience in project management from inception to completion.
  • Development of workforce policies and procedures.
  • Ability to produce reports for senior management.
  • Strong customer service and consultancy skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, particularly in challenging situations.
  • Analytical skills to interpret multi-source data and develop actionable insights.
