Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Engine Test Engineer to join our team. As an Automotive Engine Test Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineering objectives set by the Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate engine installation packs and schematics for accurate test bed setups.
  • Process and validate engine test data.
  • Analyze engine data and understand correct trends and causes for concern.
  • Track project efficiency and maintain project-related invoicing.
  • Devise and lead initiatives to reduce waste and optimize efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Automotive/Mechanical Engineering HND, Degree, or relevant experience of testbed operation.
  • Experience in an automotive engineering discipline.
  • Test bed experience in an automotive testing environment.
  • Excellent understanding of gasoline and diesel engine mechanical fundamentals.
  • Working closely with customer engineering teams to establish and carry out test programs.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of a wide variety of engine types (Petrol, Diesel, High Performance, Heavy Duty, Alternative Fuels).
