Job Description

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about making a positive impact on the environment. As a Senior Sustainability and Net Zero Consultant, you'll play a key role in helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals, particularly in the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of net zero carbon strategies for social housing providers and public sector organisations.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects, often simultaneously, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyse and interpret data to drive decarbonisation and asset planning, turning data into realisable projects and programmes.
  • Develop and deliver guidance and tools to assist housing providers with retrofit projects.
  • Support social landlords and public sector bodies through the delivery journey of their net-zero strategies and investment programmes.
  • Lead on the analysis of housing asset data to benchmark energy performance and develop investment scenarios against energy performance and net zero targets.
  • Support the delivery of current industry assistance programmes, including the Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified or equivalent relevant work experience in a sustainability or environment-related topic, with a focus on housing and/or the wider built environment.
  • Systematic approach to project management, with extensive experience of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, often simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable experience in interpreting and using data to drive decarbonisation and asset planning.
  • Strong subject matter expertise of net zero and ESG policy and strategy in the social housing sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to develop succinct and accurate communications covering complex subject matter for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences.
