Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

The Accounts Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining financial records and bank reconciliations for our Aviation company. The successful candidate will work within the Accounting & Finance team, located in Hounslow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports to ensure accurate and timely submission.
  2. Bookkeeping and Invoicing: Perform bookkeeping, invoicing, and budget tracking tasks to maintain financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.
  4. Financial Transaction Recording: Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported, including VAT returns.
  5. Financial Process Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliation for all client accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  7. Client Account Management: Open and close client accounts, manage payment requests, and report client account balances to operations.
  8. Financial Regulations Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation, including revaluation of client accounts and resolving queries in a timely manner.
  9. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the finance team and operations to achieve financial goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Degree: A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Numerical Skills: Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  3. Financial Experience: Exposure to previous financial roles and experience with accounting software.
  4. Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  5. Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time management skills.
  6. Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
