Job Title: Operations and Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance Manager to join our team at Sullom Voe Terminal Power Station in the Shetland Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the power station, providing direction to the Operations and Maintenance Teams and interpreting customer needs into plant operating strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective continual training and development for the operations and maintenance teams to ensure staff competence is achieved within the competency matrix.
  • Manage the operations and maintenance team budgets to ensure effective controls are implemented with controlling cost.
  • Schedule bulk consumables and materials to ensure plant availability and performance is maximised.
  • As the Operations and Maintenance Manager, you will have responsibility for site operational procedures and instruction within the BMS. The role will be required to implement effective management to ensure compliance with the BMS and ISO standards.
  • The role will ensure the power station availability and efficiency is maximised by effective operational planning and equipment availability.
  • Working closely with the Maintenance Team to anticipate typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action.
  • Advise the Maintenance Team on O&M planning to optimise key plant up time and capitalise on down time, and consolidate maintenance and repair tasks where possible while plant is unavailable for service.
  • Ensure the management of statutory inspections ensuring all documentation is completed and up to date.
  • Provide reports to the Management Team with effective data showing operational performance.
  • Manage the teams to ensure Base Line Condition is being achieved by supporting Contract Transition Manager.
  • Manage the teams to ensure effective plant right-sizing and eventual decommissioning by supporting Contract Transition Manager.
