Job Title: Assistant Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Estimator to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a key role in assisting the Senior Estimator in delivering estimates and proposals for a range of projects across the UK and Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the delivery of estimates and proposals
  • Send out inquiries and provide admin support
  • Reply to queries from subcontractors
  • Assist in cost planning and reporting price variations
  • Prepare quotations with detailed specifications and timeframes
Requirements:
  • Degree educated in a construction-related discipline
  • Minimum of three years of relevant employment in the construction industry
  • Keen to take on a role in the commercial construction area
  • Previous experience in pricing Fire Doors is highly advantageous
  • Excellent IT skills and experience of working with a range of IT packages, including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast and dynamic environment
