Position: Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

Type: Full-time, 5 days per week

Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience

Are you a skilled and confident Special Educational Needs Support Assistant seeking a new opportunity? Teach Plus is collaborating with a reputable primary school that is looking for an experienced individual to provide support to a Year 2 student with Autism, social and emotional challenges, and behavioral difficulties.

This school is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment, prioritizing the well-being of its students and their families.

Following a recent inspection, the school has maintained its 'Good' rating, with the leadership team setting ambitious goals for student achievement and developing tailored learning plans to meet these objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the class teacher and SENCO in supporting the student both in and out of the classroom.
  • Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere for the student through a warm and nurturing approach.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Background in supporting children with Autism and social-emotional challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Strong rapport-building skills to address the individual needs of the student.
  • Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
