Senior Planner Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our Construction team in Plymouth. As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects from tender to completion, ensuring that construction plans are created, updated, and amended in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain fully integrated programmes incorporating all disciplines, including design, commercial, and construction, with sufficient time risk allowances and terminal float/buffer to contractual completions.
  • Produce and monitor tender event schedules (TES) and procurement schedules.
  • Generate site logistics, scaffold schedules, temporary power and water requirements, and temporary work schedules.
  • Develop information for tender settlements, including benchmarking.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and attend regular site visits.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in construction planning, gained within the main contractor environment.
  • A solid history of working on build tenders and live projects between £5M - £100M+ in value.
  • Experience with Asta Powerproject software and Bluebeam for take-offs, logistic plans, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contract conditions and their impact on planning.
  • Experience in developing claims/CEs.
