Job Summary:

The Charalle Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Finance Assistant to join our National Finance Team. As a Graduate Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Finance operation, including data manipulation, financial reporting and analysis, and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its internal finance reporting systems and methodologies.
  • Apply business understanding to enable improved operational performance to be delivered within the business service lines through the production of accurate and meaningful management information with an appropriate layer of insight.
  • Assist the Commercial Finance Lead in supporting the firm's service line heads, helping to drive performance improvement in areas such as:
    • Financial-related working practices
    • Efficient use of resources
    • Profitability on jobs
    • Working capital management
  • Adept best practice in the production and use of management information and key performance indicators.
  • Develop an understanding of the firm's culture and strategy and how change is achieved.
  • Build excellent working relationships with appropriate stakeholders and particularly with other members of the Commercial Finance team.
  • Undertake specific related projects as agreed.

Requirements:

  • A-Level or equivalent qualifications including GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or with some equivalent accountancy qualification or experience.
  • IT proficient with strong MS Excel skills.
  • A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload effectively.
  • Resilient and persevering to achieve deadlines or resolve problems.
