About the Role:

InSite Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Pembroke Dock, West Wales. As a key member of our C&I team, you will be responsible for leading the technical direction and delivery of projects, ensuring high-quality engineering documents and compliance with specifications and functional integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the C&I team, focusing on technical quality and delivery of technical documents within schedule and budget.
  • Provide technical direction and inputs to C&I team personnel.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity.
  • Perform safety-related calculations and provide input to safety reviews.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Lead on project technical decisions.
  • Coordinate C&I activities with other disciplines.
  • Attend internal and external project review meetings.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience supporting junior team members and apprentices.
  • Ability to interface and liaise with key client and internal stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in detailed design engineering.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, specification, configuration, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of DCS and SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication systems.
