Position Overview:

The Internal Controls Assistant (Intern) role is a vital part of our finance team, focusing on ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Internal Controller in fulfilling all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) deliverables with precision and punctuality, including gap assessments, risk evaluations, SOX testing, and issue tracking.
  2. Ensure adherence to the critical internal control framework to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Support the management of system access rights (e.g., SAP) to prevent segregation of duties violations and conduct regular monitoring.
  4. Collaborate with the Regional HQ and Internal Audit teams to complete Accounting and Control Assessments, ensuring timely delivery of information and actions.
  5. Contribute to internal control projects, ensuring key milestones are achieved and communication with stakeholders is timely and relevant.
  6. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate non-value-added activities and optimize processes.
  7. Perform additional tasks as required within the scope of the role.

Qualifications:

Candidates should be pursuing a Finance or Accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent). Strong organizational skills are essential to meet tight deadlines. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels are required. A proactive work approach is crucial, along with the ability to work collaboratively and independently. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is necessary.
