HGV 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV 1 Driver to join our team at Ashton Recruitment. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load vehicles for deliveries, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Use tracking procedures at all times to ensure accurate delivery and collection of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of driving hours, adhering to tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Complete paperwork and delivery notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, aiming to exceed customer expectations at all times.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK Clean category C+E driving licence.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an HGV 1 driver.
  • Valid CPC and digital tachograph.
  • Customer-focused approach and basic level of education.
  • Flexibility with working hours based on business needs.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Previous experience in strapping and chaining loads.
