About the Role

We are seeking a researcher with expertise in using participatory approaches to work with people and communities or experience of science communication with different audiences and some knowledge and understanding of hydrological processes and/or water issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help lead an active research programme to develop and deliver public engagement activities with schools and communities.
  • Devise, organise and manage activities, engaging proactively with stakeholders, schools and communities to communicate project aims, monitor progress and report outcomes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the engagement activities and contribute significantly to dissemination and publication of the research findings.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Institute for Modern's research team and external partners to deliver the Water Data for People programme.
  • Lead co-authored publications and presentations; and write reports and policy briefs.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant discipline or significant experience in education and/or science communication in a research context.
