Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained at all times. Your expertise and leadership will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained at all times.
  • Devise and implement individual and team learning and development plans.
  • Contribute to the monitoring, evaluation, and review of policies and procedures.
  • Provide supervision and support to staff members.
  • Ensure the implementation of all designated areas of the child's care plan.
  • Chair regular team meetings and coordinate performance reviews.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all young people, staff, and visitors to the home.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ/ILM/QCF Level 4 or 5 in Management (Residential Childcare) or working towards this.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004 and Every Child Matters.
  • Full driving license.
  • Residential care experience or other relevant experience of working with children and young people.
  • Flexibility to respond to the needs of the unit and young people.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, up to £50,000 dependent on experience, services managed, and additional responsibilities. You will also receive a bonus of up to £2.5-5k based on occupancy, Ofsted reports, finances, and overall environment of the home. Our benefits package includes a 37-hour workweek, plus night-time support where required, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
