About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production and Repair Operator to join our team at Thales UK. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in the production of cutting-edge Sonar technologies for the UK and international navies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing operations in accordance with engineering drawings and documents, ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time and to plan.
  • Assist in the development and production of Conformal Panels, adhering to required standards and quality criteria.
  • Focus on time delivery, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Escalate blockers and issues to Layer Leader, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Understand and follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH guidance, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ensure 5S standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Ability to interpret build packs and understand manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Level 2 BTEC or NVQ, ONC, City and Guilds Electrical or equivalent, or 3 years of practical operator experience.
