We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Auditor to join our team in Central Virginia. As a Tax Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits on businesses to determine their compliance with Virginia state tax laws. The emphasis will be on Virginia Sales and Use Tax.



Key Responsibilities:



* Conduct audits on businesses to determine compliance with Virginia state tax laws



* Develop audits and assessments to ensure accurate tax collection and remittance



* Educate taxpayers on tax laws and regulations



* Ensure the collection and remittance of payments are accurate and timely



Requirements:



* Accounting and/or auditing experience in a professional work environment



* Ability to proficiently use a windows-based computer to create, compile, manipulate, transmit, and analyze electronic data



* Must have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and provide own transportation



* Must have a safe and private work area/room/office at home to work including a locking file cabinet and high-speed Internet service
