Job Title: Head of Health and Safety

Job Summary:

Pertemps is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Health and Safety to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, support, and recommendations to ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice within key industry sectors linked to our client programmes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety management system to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide professional advice, guidance, and training to line managers, senior management team, Executive, and Corporation members on health and safety legislation and guidance.
  • Implement a corporate risk register and risk management plan to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our operations.
  • Conduct regular internal health and safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with our health and safety management system.
  • Work closely with the Group Director of Estates and Facilities to ensure that the risks associated with all capital building projects are minimized.
  • Act as lead advisor to the corporate safety committee and ensure that staff are fully represented.
Requirements:
  • Level 6 DEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of health and safety management.
  • 10 years of experience in relevant experience in health and safety management.
