About the Role

National Highways is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to support the management of its Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management system. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management system to ensure consistency and quality of content.
  • Provide technical advice on the content of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management system.
  • Manage communication of revisions, amendments, and updates to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management system.
  • Ensure the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management system aligns with National Highways' key risks and business needs.
  • Champion document control and challenge 'local' solutions.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Applied knowledge and experience of UK H&S Legislation.
  • Practical experience in the creation, implementation, and revision of management arrangements and systems.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels.
