Job Summary

Johnsons 1871 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our operational team, ensuring the smooth execution of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of the operational team.
    • Assign and allocate resources to ensure efficient operations.
    • Identify and implement operational efficiencies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • People Management
    • Lead and manage a team of operational staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of operational staff.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
    • Manage employee relations, including resolving conflicts and addressing performance issues.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are handled in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present regular reports to management on operational performance.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements

  • Proven experience in operational management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Additional Notes

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including occasional travel and overnight stays. A full driving license is essential.
