Marc Daniels is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their team in Reading. This is a 2-day per week office-based role with a flexible employer.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for a newly qualified accountant from practice with a strong affinity for financial reporting. The successful candidate will take ownership of their work and be responsible for:
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful analysis and commentary on balance sheet performance to influence business decisions.
- Accounting Operations: Prepare month-end accounts for UK and Ireland, and build a strong understanding of finance systems and international accounting standards.
- Compliance and Governance: Liaise with auditors to respond to audit queries and prepare US GAAP balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve internal accounting processes to optimize efficiency.
- Support and Collaboration: Assist the accounting manager with monthly and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
