Job Title: Secondary Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher to join our team at New Barn School, River View House. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students, aged 6-19, who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health complexities.

About the Role:

As a Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects, preparing and planning engaging lessons, and assessing student progress. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individual education plans, setting challenging yet achievable targets for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a varied range of subjects to students of all ages
  • Prepare and plan engaging lessons, maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments
  • Write and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment
  • Build relationships with students, encouraging their interest and participation in their education
  • Create a stimulating and purposeful environment for students to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings
Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have a background of teaching a range of subjects, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level
  • Knowledge of current education issues in relation to terms of practice, process, and curriculum
