Job Title: Residence Life Manager

NYU London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residence Life Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Student Affairs department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residence halls, ensuring a safe and inclusive living environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily residence life operations, including check-in/check-out processes, room assignments, and building access systems.
  • Develop and implement programs that foster a sense of community and belonging among residents, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equity.
  • Supervise and train a team of residence life staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent support and services to residents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and manage the residence life budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with program goals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a supportive, problem-solving role within a residential or facilities-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and leading teams, with a proven track record of developing staff and managing performance.
  • Experience in handling emergency situations and providing crisis intervention is essential.
  • A demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse and welcoming environment, as evidenced by prior successful and innovative measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of London and local emergency support services.
  • Personal experience of studying or living abroad.
  • Familiarity with the American higher education system.
  • Experience in training and onboarding staff.
