Project Engineer Job Description

As a Project Engineer at PWE Recruitment Group, you will be responsible for managing technical responsibilities for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installation works across the UK. This role involves coordinating materials, equipment, and documentation, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the engineering, planning, and execution of site works, including mechanical and electrical installations, servicing, and commissioning, ensuring correct equipment, tooling, and materials are available to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
  2. Produce and oversee the fulfillment of works Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work, Toolbox Talks, COSHH assessments, and safe working procedures, ensuring the health and safety of personnel for the working activity.
  3. Undertake site audits/visits, producing and submitting any required site reports, and overseeing standards of workmanship and professionalism for internal systems and installations.
  4. Help the organization continuously improve and undertake developments in the Site Services function, inclusive of developing process and procedures and being a key stakeholder in digitization opportunities.
About You:
  1. Relevant project engineering experience within a customer-based or customer-focused environment delivering technical installation and commissioning work scopes.
  2. Technical background in Mechanical & Electrical installation, as an installer and/or engineer.
  3. Experience with systems of work such as Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Toolbox Talks, and Permits to Work.
