Position Overview

Role Summary
CBSbutler Holdings Limited is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and calibration of low-risk medical devices, including but not limited to defibrillators, thermometers, medical scales, and pulse oximeters. These devices are utilized in various healthcare settings such as general practices, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and select hospitals. Please note that this role does not involve repairs, focusing solely on testing and calibration services.

Location Requirements:
Ideal candidates should reside in specific postcode areas to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Starting salary of £25,500, with an increase to £26,440 following a successful probation period.
  • Potential for a small monthly bonus based on performance metrics.
  • Reimbursement for accommodation and expenses when overnight stays are necessary.
  • Company vehicle provided for business use.
  • Generous holiday allowance of 24 days, increasing to 27 days after five years, in addition to public holidays.
  • No expectation for overtime, except in rare cases where weekend work may be required.


Working Hours:
On-site hours are applicable, with travel time not compensated.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of engineering experience in the UK, with consideration for exceptional junior engineers with relevant hobbies and interpersonal skills.
  • Field experience is preferred, but candidates with a willingness to travel and customer-facing experience in non-field roles will also be considered.
  • Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves handling equipment weighing up to 150kg for calibration tasks.


Interview Process:
The selection process will consist of a telephone or video interview followed by a potential second interview, which may require travel to the company's headquarters, with all expenses covered.
