Job Title: Dental Reception Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Reception Lead to join our team at Alvington House Dental Practice. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from initial contact to treatment completion.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the reception function, maintaining a top-class image and ensuring all procedures are up-to-date.
  2. Liaise with the Practice Manager and Partners to improve the function and implement new ideas.
  3. Manage the patient recall system, including FTA and cancellations, and fill diary gaps accordingly.
  4. Organize the reception desk, ensuring efficient processes and maintaining service levels.
  5. Monitor and maintain effective call handling procedures.
  6. Liaise with labs for collections and ensure the appointment system is efficient and accurate.
  7. Manage the reception email box and organize sundry consumables.
  8. Ensure patient records are completed correctly and all details are accurate.
  9. Assist with banking procedures and maintain the sitting room brochures and magazines.
  10. Liaise with the Practice Manager to ensure the appointment system works effectively.
  11. Undertake patient surveys and collate and report findings.
  12. Ensure all staff are up-to-date with Denplan changes and attend Denplan meetings.
  13. Maintain NHS/Private referral forms and record monthly FTAs.
  14. Correspond with tradesmen in the Practice Manager's absence and scan and control patient documentation.
  15. Assist with interviewing and recruitment selection as necessary.
  16. Check holiday requests from reception and dentists and manage diary amendments for Partners.
  17. Keep reception folders up-to-date and problem-solve on reception.
  18. Manage the telephone system, including minor changes and recording and uploading voice messages.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a Receptionist or Medical/Dental Receptionist.
