Quality Management Consultant

As a Quality Management Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality team at UK Power Networks. This role involves collaborating closely with the Quality and Assurance Manager and requires a commitment to excellence in quality management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert guidance on ISO 9001:2015 compliance to various stakeholders, including managers, employees, and clients, throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Participate in the evaluation and enhancement of existing quality procedures and contribute to the creation of new processes tailored to specific projects.

3. Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards by planning and executing audits, generating reports, and addressing any identified issues promptly.

4. Support Project Managers by reviewing quality-related documentation and developing training materials for project teams and subcontractors.

5. Conduct performance inspections and audits of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet quality expectations.

6. Oversee the certification of materials and equipment on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

7. Facilitate third-party audits and champion quality management processes to uphold certification standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Practitioner membership of the Chartered Quality Institute with aspirations for Chartered status.
  • Experience in quality management systems within the construction sector.
  • Trained QMS Auditor with a solid understanding of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis.
  • Possess a valid UK driving license.

Desirable:

  • Flexibility in work approach and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
  • Strong communication and planning skills.
