Position Summary

We are looking for an Operations Controller to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily management of warehouse operations, ensuring that inbound and outbound schedules are executed with precision. You will collaborate closely with warehouse staff, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers to maintain an uninterrupted workflow throughout your shift.Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days (06:00 - 18:00)

Compensation:
£27,450 Per Annum


As the successful candidate, you will report directly to the site Shift Manager and be responsible for the following:

  • Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to meet collection and delivery timelines.
  • Issuing clear instructions to staff to ensure a smooth flow of inbound and outbound operations.
  • Overseeing paperwork for outbound vehicles to guarantee 100% accuracy.
  • Communicating any issues to the Shift Manager promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for drivers arriving on site.
  • Actively participating in the operations team, offering insights for problem-solving and efficiency improvements.
  • Providing a comprehensive handover to the next shift, highlighting potential issues and current operational status.
  • Releasing work orders to the warehouse for picking and managing marshal lanes for orders.
  • Prioritizing tasks based on scheduling and resource availability.
Qualifications

To excel in the role of Operations Controller, you should possess the following skills and experience:
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of on-site operational systems.
  • Experience with Empirica and RF equipment (training will be provided).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A drive for personal and professional growth.
  • Flexibility in work approach and shift patterns to accommodate absences.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
