Student Finance and Welfare Officer

This is a varied position with the opportunity to contribute to new working practices and supporting students across both campuses of the University of Hertfordshire.
Main Responsibilities- Develop specialist knowledge relating to all aspects of Student Finance funding for Home/EU students with an emphasis on Student Loans Company eligibility.
- Process student records for the SLC (including attendance/registration confirmations, change of circumstances etc.), provide advice and assistance to students.
- Provide administrative support for the University Hardship Fund and any scholarship/bursary awards.
- Deal with all student enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods.
- Excellent organisational and IT skills.
- Proven experience of customer service and working to strict deadlines.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service.
- Able to follow clearly defined processes and keen to collaborate and improve processes to increase our student experience.
A minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent qualifications, or proven work experience.
A-levels or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.
