Position Overview:

Quality Compliance Technician

Location: Telford

Employment Type: Full-time (4 on 4 off shifts)

We are seeking a Quality Compliance Technician to assist the Shift Leader in ensuring 24/7 compliance, addressing ongoing quality challenges, and conducting investigations to determine root causes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Comply with legal and organizational safety regulations.
  • Promptly report any hazards and incidents.
  • Ensure all necessary testing is performed in the laboratory, including both routine and non-routine product assessments.
  • Perform general laboratory tasks such as cleaning, reagent preparation, and glassware maintenance.
  • Support the initiation and execution of food safety and quality investigations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of laboratory work and results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues beyond your immediate role.
  • Ensure all calibrations and verifications are conducted according to the internal schedule.
  • Maintain equipment and address any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Investigate non-conformances and spoilage incidents.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring in laboratory and production areas.
  • Perform and document site CCP checks.
  • Assist the Shift QC Leader in driving quality KPIs during shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with CLAS standards and maintain cleanliness.
  • Participate in internal audits and conduct testing.
  • Analyze laboratory data for trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage in root cause analysis and propose enhancements.

  • Capacity to perform under pressure.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in investigating out-of-specification results.
  • Aptitude for making prompt decisions based on data analysis.
  • Desirable experience in the dairy industry.
  • Previous laboratory experience is advantageous.
  • A scientific qualification or background in Chemistry is essential.
