WE Talent is excited to support our client in the launch of a brand new retail space. As our client expands their presence across the country, they are in search of a skilled and motivated Retail Operations Leader to oversee the activities at this new establishment.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity to be part of a developing brand and play a key role in the success of their latest initiative.


Compensation:
£27,000 plus achievable commission, potentially reaching £34k initially, with opportunities for salary and commission growth.

Full-time permanent position, requiring a 5-day work week that includes weekend shifts.

The Retail Operations Leader will be tasked with managing the daily functions of the retail space, ensuring a superior customer experience, and driving sales performance.

This position demands a proactive leader capable of managing a team, upholding high standards of visual presentation, and formulating strategies to meet sales objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of retail staff, providing training, support, and motivation.
  • Ensure the retail space is visually appealing, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Identify areas for improvement by monitoring market trends and implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure that team members possess up-to-date product knowledge and provide a warm welcome to every customer.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance, preparing regular reports for senior management.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues with a focus on first-time resolution.
  • Maintain regular communication with head office and other retail locations to share insights and promote best practices.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records and timely replenishment.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities, including staff scheduling, payroll, and wage cost management.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash handling and banking processes.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a retail management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Ability to analyze sales data and devise strategies for performance enhancement.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as necessary.
